Getting Through Grief
Have you suffered a loss that you just don’t seem to ‘get over’? Do well meaning friends, family and co-workers hint that it’s been month/years now and shouldn’t you be getting on with your life?
Mourning occurs in response to the death or loss of a valued being (human or animal) or the loss of a particular situation or way of life. In 1969 Elsabeth Kubler-Ross defined the 5 stages of grief to be:
Denial and isolation
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Acceptance
Though some may experience the stages in a different order or to varying degrees, the 5 stages of mourning are universal and are experienced the world over.
Where are you in the grieving process and where do you want to be?
You understand that you need to process your grief but somehow you just feel stuck – stuck in the pain, the sadness, the sense that you’re just drifting and will never heal.
If traditional grief counselling doesn’t meet your needs; if you are tired of being stuck in the sadness and are ready to process your grief and move forward you are ready to join Bereavement Bootcamp©.
I now offer a bereavement accountability process to help you move forward through the stages of grief that all of us who suffer losses must experience. Go through the stages at your own pace, deal with your specific issues but do it strategically, mindfully and with accountability.
